Read Internal Temperature

Post by W4NNG »

Is there anywhere in Thetis (or anyway) to see the output from any of the rigs internal temperature sensors?

You can query using hamlib rigctl
rigctl -m 2048 -r com16 -s 115200
Rig command: w ZZTS;
Reply: ZZTS00301;

At least on my ANAN100 the ZZTS command seems to return a constant value of what should be 30.1C -- that number doesn't seem to change.
The ZZDU command shows 00000 for the temp reading so that doesn't match the ZZTS answer at all.
Rig command: w ZZDU;

hamlib is not part of Thetis -- it comes with WSJT-X or JTDX and is called rigctl-wsjtx or rigctl-jtdx respectively.
You'll find hamlib by itself here that has rigctgl in it.

There are no provisions to read the internal temperature of any of the radios. The 8000DLE displays the internal temperature on the front panel using a microcontroller but it does not send those results to the software.
