Computer chip shortage

I just saw on local tv news regarding a shortage of computer processor chips causing a backlog in equipment including automobiles.
I'm wondering is this shortage may affect anan production?

I don't know, but I can tell you that on one of my projects we just ordered production quantities of Xilinx Kintex Ultrascale FPGAs and deliveries are running 52 weeks out
