Thanks so much! I think this is the second simple solution I “borrowed” from you. lol. I guess with this unit just use the “OUT” for the ANAN and INPUT 1 for one amp and INPUT 2 for second amp!!! Love it!AG5CK wrote:That works but is overpriced. A rca switch box can be had much cheaper. You obviously won't be using all the connections.

I've also used a simple Y harness to split the ptt out between two amplifiers but you have to be careful about that. The switch is the safe bet. 73
Much appreciated Scott!w-u-2-o wrote:Yes, totally agree, why not be 100% safe and just use a simple switch?
Here is an even less expensive version.
That should do it.WR4N wrote:I guess with this unit just use the “OUT” for the ANAN and INPUT 1 for one amp and INPUT 2 for second amp!!! Love it!AG5CK wrote:That works but is overpriced. A rca switch box can be had much cheaper. You obviously won't be using all the connections.

I have 2 of the Ameritron Amplifier Transceiver Keying Interfaces (ARB-704) that I currently use. I had planned on putting one each in line for each amplifier. It makes the relay string a tad long - LOL - but should provide the same solid protection I’ve been enjoying. Would you agree?AG5CK wrote:That should do it.WR4N wrote:I guess with this unit just use the “OUT” for the ANAN and INPUT 1 for one amp and INPUT 2 for second amp!!! Just be sure the relay current and voltage for each amp is safe for PTT out on the Anan.
That should be fine. I didn't know you were using the interface and you never know what kind of relay is in someone else's amplifier. Most use a small relay with a 12 vdc coil but some use 120 vac.WR4N wrote:I have 2 of the Ameritron Amplifier Transceiver Keying Interfaces (ARB-704) that I currently use.
