I fear my 6 m LNA is dead.
I was receiving 6 m band during a far thoundstorm and suddenly the receiver drop gain of about 40 dB.

Below pictures of today situation.

I think the LNA is dead.
When I switch in setup between the 6 m LNA ON and OFF, I hear a relé click everytime.

Where is located the 6 m LNA component? Someone has a picture of the board and location of it?

Just today I received the schematics. I think the component is U14 and/or U15 (PGA-103+) located on PA Filter board.

Do you suggest other tests to prove it is really defective?
Is it so sensitive? I have a 6 el. LFA yagi, so it is electrically in short circuit and the cable is connected to a linear amplifier, so not directly to Anan.

Many thanks for help. :)

A few years ago I had the same situation where the 6m LNA just failed for no apparent reason on my Anan 100 . It was an SMD component which was replaced but did not fix the issue so the Anan 100 had to go back for service .

For some time i have been running without the LNA activated on my 7000 mk2 and i find very little difference in SNR so perhaps you might wait until 6m E's season is over before carrying out repairs.

Many thanks Tony.
Normally I would not use pre on 6 m but for a mistake I cooked the pre near the antenna and so I switched ON the Anan one.
I will decide if I keep my RTX without a working pre on 6 m or I can try to repair the issue with a new component, checking if sourrounding capacitors, resistors and coils are ok.
It is a pitty as the RTX is only 2 months old.

Sorry to hear its only new , mine failed after a few months also . I made up a temp pre amp with ha8et unit and coax relay but honestly i really did not need it as have QRN here.

I have a lot of noise too in Milano city :( but I have 48 m of coax cable and I lose about 2.5 dB if I don't use a pre.

I hope filter unit is easy to reach once I open the radio.

If I have time, during the WE I will try the repair.

P.S.: as 7000DLE is a dual receiver, this evening I will try to see if 6m LNA of second receiver is working or not.

After some bad words :D , I was able to change U14 and now the RX1 6 m LNA is working properly.
I found the component case broken, like a short circuit on power supply inside it.
Not understanding why this happened.
It may be a defective component not enough seasoned. ;)

Please tell me the email you used to request schematics of the 7000. I've asked more than once to support@apache-labs.com and no reply, even to my spam box.

I have a 7000 received in Sept 2021.
