My Radio has been working great but about a month ago My receive level keeps dropping off when i UN key my mic.. My normal back ground noise level is s 8 or s9 i live in the city but drops to s5 or lower or a little higher if i tap mic key it might jump back to normal till i key up again .I have no problem on tx and if i turn radio on but don't key it the receive is fine..

My first thought was AGC level setting wrong somewhere but seems like bad T/R relay contact in receive side. How is receive on RX 2? Not antenna 2 ? A different path to RX2 antenna connector.

Thank you for reply and i think it is the T/R switch i am on ant 2 now and its working great ..

If the ANT2 input is working then it is not the T/R relay, but rather K8 that has probably gone bad. If it was the T/R relay then all ANT ports would be bad.
