Mouse Click to Set Frequency

Post by JPPNews73 »

Is it possible in Thetis to simply click on the frequency you want in the panadapter and have the vfo go there?

Well, now it works, as I remembered it. But it seems to be intermittent. Sometimes, when I click on a frequency (CTUN) engaged, it does nothing. and then later, clicking on a frequency works fine. Any thoughts?

AFAIK it only works with CTUN enabled.

With CTUN disabled you can right click to obtain a large crosshair and then left click to tune wherever that crosshair is.

From my experience so far if CTUN (which stands for CLICK TUNE) is turned off, you are in a "Bandscope Display Mode" if in Panafall.
Now, if CTUN is ON you are in "Panadapter Display Mode"

If CTUN button is OFF (unlite) , the left mouse button click and hold, will allow you to DRAG the panadapter center frequency either higher or lower when you move the mouse Left or Right.

If however, the CTUN button is ON (lite) then click and hold the left mouse button allows you to change the frequency WITHOUT changing the panadapter. However, I have noticed that if you go to the edge of the panadaper it may scroll a little.

There are numerous tuning options and methods, too many to discuss!

Many of these options and behaviors can be adjusted in Setup > General > Options > Options-1 > Miscellaneous.

I recommend you play with those and experiment.

Lastly, with CTUN on or off it is always possible to place the cursor in the frequency band at the top of the panadapter and drag it left and right. This is especially handy when in CTUN mode.
