CW MOX full power

I use an Angelia board as the i.f. for VHF work. I recently tried to do CW but ran into a problem. In CW mode, with no CW key plugged in, clicking the MOX button or otherwise engaging PTT puts the radio into key-down transmit. In other words, MOX acts like TUNe. Nothing on the Setup/DSP/CW tab is checked; connections are both "None." VAC makes no difference.
The only thing I can think of is that the CW jack is messed up. Before I take everything apart, perhaps someone has another suggestion.
