Laurence,
It happened now twice, always in the morning when booting and after having installed openvpn the day before. According to the installation instructions, the system will be updated daily (I assume a command like sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade will be performed daily) if not ...

Re: G2 Software and Firmware Updates
Hi Michael,
Whilst I cannot comment on this issue, I can tell you that a service like Tailscale is very easy to configure and allows simple access to many systems securely. It uses Wireguard protocol.
I can highly recommend it!

Mike

Re: Network based (remote) radio power on/off
I’ve been setting up remote connection to my pc with thetis and mumble, but only really just thought about power on.
Can’t believe there isn’t a standard way to do this remotely that does not require jumping through these hoops!

Re: Updated G2 firmware and p2app June 2024
Hi,
This may be a daft question, I just got a G2 last week. How do I see the current firmware version I am running?
Is this the correct place? If so mine shows 2.0.0 which seems very different to version 17 mentioned here?
Thanks

Thanks. So is it a case of listening to a signal whilst adjusting? Or do you have any figures I can start with for G2 ?I2NOY wrote:For weak signals you have to set properly T1 and T2 thresholds. With default values in SSB the voice is cut.

Re: NR2 not working?
There is nothing wrong with those settings. However, the "trained" mode of NR2, new in this latest version, is far superior to the Gamma mode. Nevertheless, the Gamma mode should be easily noticeable when NR2 is enabled.
You do have NR2 enabled on the main UI, right? ;)

Hi
NR2 seems to have stopped working. I have a feeling I may
have changed one of these settings.
Can somebody please share there’ settings or point out which
setting should be adjusted.
Thanks

Pops on audio peaks with Thetis, G2 and external USB card
Hi,
I am very pleased with my G2 but noticed I am getting little pops on the receive audio.
I don't recall getting this with my HL2 but I may be wrong and now I am being more critical.

Re: Anan G2 pure signal question.
Hi
Can the G2 make use of pure signal without an external sampler?
Yes. Also, just for completeness, you can use it this way with an external amp but it will only linearize the internal amplifier in that case.
If so, how is this enabled in Thetis?

Hi
Can the G2 make use of pure signal without an external sampler?
That is, does it have an inbuilt sampler at the output stage?
If so, how is this enabled in Thetis?
Thanks

Thanks for the replies.
Looking at the old thread/diagram that wu20 suggested there may be no real advantage to using the TRS mic socket on the back of the G2?
I could continue using the Audient ID4 audio interface and take this input to Thetis?
Or am i missing somehting.

Ahh, thank you. My bad. I do have a cloudlifter I use with it now as the Audient ID4 does not have enough gain. However I think I read the XLR input has some extra gain? So perhaps it will work.
So my next question, how does the microphone path get from XLR to Thetis on my PC ? Can I select the mic ...

Sure SM7B andG2 XLR
Hi,
I am a prospective G2 owner. I have a Sure SM7B which is a good XLR mic but requires 48vdc phantom power.
I assume there is no way I can use this in the G2 XLR port?
Also, what is the advantage of using this port over say the current way that I use it, via an external USB sound card/ Audient ...
