DX Doubler (DXD Top Ten)

Post by NN3RP »

Good evening all and Happy Holidays.

I've been enjoying playing with SO2V using N1MM+ and it has come to the time to switch to SO2R, if possible.

My radios:
Anan 7000DLE embedded PC system and Icom 7610

Amp: SPE 1.3K

I have gotten a DX Doubler (DXD Top Ten) device and Piexx “SO2Rxlat” device, which allows the DXD to be
used with a USB-only computer. The user manual does not have any information on the Anan setup hence my search for a solution here.

Is anyone using DX Doubler with their Anan machine? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Do you mean making cables? Because according to the manual the only software interface is between the DXD device and N1MM.

Do you already have Thetis interfaced to N1MM? Because I'm guessing that is also required, and for the 7610 as well.

Thanks....Yes, it is about making the cables for the Anan.

I have both Anan / IC7610 talking to N1MM....and I used them each for contesting but not together. I would like to be able to use both concurrently.

Do you have the DXD manual? Are there any questions about anything except J2 or J3?

I have read the manual. I thought that it will have an entry for setting up Anan type of radio but this device is from the Flintston's era!

J2 / J3 are the 8-pin DIN. I will work in figuring out what pins to connect the Anan lines,

I think I can use the Elecraft diagram,

Other than it's prehistoric style LPT port for software control it's not really any different than any other two radio/four receiver mic/key/audio switchbox sold for SO2R op's.

The Elecraft cable pictured will not work. However, it does provide a nice schematic to mark up with a red pencil based on the actual pinouts of a 7000. You do have the necessary 7000 documentation to work from, I hope?

Thanks. Yes, I'll use the Elecraft as a reference.

The Piexx “SO2Rxlat” device, will allow the DXD to be used with a USB-only computer like is the case nowadays.
