Solved my issue of last used frequency not being saved if Auto Save TX Profile on Thetis close was selected.

Thank you for all do for the Apache Labs community.
I was telling my friend that you had approximately 30 line items for the change log. And all the work it takes to incorporate all the input that you receive from other folks. Your hard work does not go unnoticed for sure. So thanks again for doing what you do for all of us.

Just installed. Everything seems to be working well. I have noticed the Sequence Error blocks in the upper left corner of the spectrum display blinking occasionally. ( hadn't been happening in the official release) But, otherwise no problems.
I also noticed a new feature for Wireshark. Is it integrated into Thetis now? Or is it for testing?
Maybe we need to install Wireshark separately. It's been a while since I have used Wireshark. ( mostly to watch packets between SmartSDR and my 6600M when I play programmer)
I will dig deeper. Thetis does seem to load faster too.
Thanks Ritchie for all you do.

@james, the flashing red and/or yellow blocks in the top left of the spectral area signify two things :

red: The last frame was not able to render in time to maintain the required fps. The odd flicker is fine, but if it is on more than off, then you need to reduce the fps, or turn off things like filled panadaptor, anti aliasing, active peak hold, gradient fill, and/or reduce the X dimension width of the display. If you are just getting the odd flicker, but you want to keep the fps/other settings, then you can disable it in Setup->Display->SpectralWarningLeds

yellow: analyser was not able to present spectral data in time for this frame, and will use historic data in this frame. I very rarely have this tuned on as it seems to cycle over time to a stage where it reports quite often. I don't think there has been any investigation why this might be happening as yet.

wireshark support has been in there a long time, and was used to discover udp packet sequence errors arriving at Thetis either late, out of order, or just missing. It helped Rick fix an issue when a DHCP broadcast caused a stutter in the data stream iirc amongst other issues.

Ritchie, thanks for the explanation. The blocks have rarely flickered. So, I did as you suggested and turned the warning LED's off. Everything seems to be very stable.
I do appreciate you explaining this to me. (Getting old can cause problems sometimes!)

Good stuff. I am making a few other tweaks and adding a couple of things before final release. I will let this pre-release run until next week sometime and replace with a final. I think this has generally been a smooth upgrade because of the major fixes to the DB import in this version.

With regards to the orange box that appears in setup if a TX profile related setting has been changed and the profile has not been saved. In the final release of 2.10.2 you will be able to click that orange box to get a report of what has been changed.

Richie, thanks a lot for your great work!
Sorry that I could not provide the video in time, too much QRL and family.

I tested the new version and it seems everthing works great again!

Thanks Richie, you have done a great job. Everything works fine.

I am very happy with Thetis and all your excellent work!

This puts the ANAN SDR's on a very high level.

Hi Richie,
I noticed a problem when operating split in CW vs SSB. If in SSB and split is turned on when the VFO B frequency is changed the transmit frequency lines move up/down the panadapter with VFO B frequency. (This also works when click tuning is turned on). In CW mode with "show TX Freq turned on and Split turned on the TX Freq line disappears. When chasing CW DX it is helpful to see were you are transmitting in the pile up without having to look at the VFO B frequency.

I don't know if this started in a previous version of Thetis or if I am missing a setting but restoring this feature (or letting me know if I need to change a setting) would greatly appreciated.

@George, thanks for that :) There has been very minimal CW testing with all the rit/xit/split changes, and it looks like this one slipped through. Fixed now though. I will update the msi installer package later/tomorrow and msg here when done. Cheers.

Richie,
I think I found a bug in the pre release 3.
When you go to collapsed mode and back to expanded mode, the meters disappear. Restarting Thetis brings them back.

@don, was this from a fresh start into collapsed? and then you went to expanded? what was the order of things for it to happen? and did you use the checkbox at all in setup to turn them off?

EDIT: yes replicated, for now, just tick on the box in setup form under setup->appearance->Use legacy meters

Interesting...when the meter goes away, if you toggle the use legacy meters checkbox tick mark of then on, the meter comes back.

yeah, line of code entirely missing to put them back, it was either a CTRL-Z moment, or lack of sleep, or both ;)

Will update the msi shortly.
