PTT IN or DIG IN 1? R LINE IN and L LINE IN?

Post by pa1hr »

Hello,

I have two questions concerning the rear panel of my brand new 7000DLE MkII (black).

I use the microHAM CW KEYER.

The KEY output of the CW KEYER is connected with DIG IN 2.
The PTT output of the CW KEYER is connected with PTT IN.
This works fine, but is it possible to use DIG IN 1, instead of PTT IN?

I understand that R LINE IN and L LINE IN are meant for connecting a soundcard for digital modes. Is this correct? Can I use them for other purposes too?

Thank you Helmut!

I will try only DIG IN 2 for the keyer, without PTT.

Another question: has PTT OUT on the ANAN the same function as DIG IN 1, but buffered on the DIG IN 1?

LINE IN L and R I will not need at this moment.

DIG IN 1 is an input. The current software uses it as a TX inhibit signal, as already mentioned above.

Thanks Scott!
The manual is not very clear on these items.
