Re: CW TX waveform display

I can turn on DUP and see what the RX is detecting. This is different from the TX waveform that I am asking about. The other modes display TX waveform. For example, during a Digi transmission, you can watch the TX output dance around in frequency while you're transmitting. I just can't get the ...

CW TX waveform display

When I transmit CW with my Angelia board, I don't see any CW waveform (or anything else) on the panadapter. During TX, the TX panadapter is blank except for the grid. I do see the waveform nicely for Digital modes. I have searched throughout the Thetis setup screens and I don't find anything ...

Solved the puzzle. The "Dash" port in U25, a buffer, was faulty. I replaced the chip and all is good.

CW MOX full power

I use an Angelia board as the i.f. for VHF work. I recently tried to do CW but ran into a problem. In CW mode, with no CW key plugged in, clicking the MOX button or otherwise engaging PTT puts the radio into key-down transmit. In other words, MOX acts like TUNe. Nothing on the Setup/DSP/CW tab is ...

To close out the saga, I hooked everything up in its original configuration including all three Ethernet switches. Without firewall it is rock-solid, with the firewall, it's unstable as before.

Re: VAC & ASIO Under/Overflows

Surprising result...
My hypothesis said that the three network switches inline from Angelia to Thetis were introducing instability that caused over/underflows in the audio stream. This despite GPS-disciplined synchronization for the time domains at each end.
To test the hypothesis, I set up the ...

KC2RGW... could you elaborate a bit on "Also double check Control Panel and set all the busses to 48k 24 bit if you haven’t." I'm not especially fluent with Voicemeeter.

Re: VAC & ASIO Under/Overflows

Scott - regarding your question, "Why are you not routing the Thetis virtual channel to both the WSJT-X and Map65 channels?" Map65 gets its I/Q feed from a UADC4 via Linrad and the network.

Re: VAC & ASIO Under/Overflows

Scott, sorry, my wording was poor. I know to always keep the main buffer in Thetis the same as in the ASIO driver. I meant that the main buffer had to be big in order for the VAC loop to be reasonably stable.
After a number of warm and cold starts, stability is elusive. Sometimes VAC settles down in ...

Re: VAC & ASIO Under/Overflows

I posted too soon... After a couple of hours, the Over/Underflows converged to zero. A restart (with Audio/Advanced/Old VAR checked) resulted in only a few glitches at first, followed by settling to zero within 5 minutes. Maybe my initial instability was due to an obsolete VAR from pre-Presonus?

VAC & ASIO Under/Overflows

Dear friends,
After reading the "Thetis 2.8.11-21+++ VAC advanced controls: results and discussion" thread a couple of times, I purchased a Presonus 192 Mobile USB audio interface in the hope that it would be more stable than my previous Behringer UMC204HD. I hooked up a Leo Bodnar GPSDO @ 48kHz to ...

Turn off AGC altogether?

Dear friends,
Is it possible to turn off AGC altogether in Thetis? I do EME and it is useful to measure signal levels at audio where AGC just gets in the way. Note: I'm not asking about turning off "auto AGC gain mode" (which is so redundant.)
Thanks,

Re: Thetis 2.9.0.6, ASIO, and VM Potato with WSJT-X & Map65

As usual, your explanation and suggestions were spot on. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I now have WSJT-X and Map65 routed through Voicemeeter and then to Thetis. The second part (Voicemeeter-Thetis) is ASIO which is exactly what I needed to do.
Thanks!

Thetis 2.9.0.6, ASIO, and VM Potato with WSJT-X & Map65

Dear friends,
In an effort to reduce TX latency, I would like to use ASIO drivers with Voicemeeter Potato. I have previously "wired" all the software in the title using MME and/or VM's Audio Cables. ASIO in contrast has proven to be frustrating.
In order to expose an ASIO driver, I plugged in my ...

Surprisingly, 150% works OK; it's just 125% font enlargement that causes Thetis to crash on start-up under Windows 7. Weird.

Re: Font size and Thetis crash

I don't see any options for font size in Thetis either. That wasn't my original complaint, however. I had changed font size in Windows 7 and now Thetis won't launch. Scott... Yes, Thetis seems to run fine on Windows 10 with enlarged Windows fonts. It's Windows 7 that is the problem.

Dear friends,
My eyes asked me to enlarge the fonts in Windows 7. I did so by right-clicking on the desktop, selecting Screen resolution, then "make text and other items larger or smaller." I left the screen resolution unchanged but increased font size to 125%. Now, if I launch Thetis, it ...
