I'm another fan of the JBL 308 speakers.
I use them in my shack (mostly for music as I use headphones for contesting) I've been really impressed with the sound quality.

Here are the settings windows from Thetis. As you can see I chose COM1 for the Andromeda tab and did not enable it on the CAT tab.
I haven't tested every panel button but AF volume / Drive / Tuning / MOX / 2 Tone / VFO work FB.

Also, If you carefully position and size the VFO A and VFO B containers over the default Thetis ones you can hover your mouse over the VFO A or VFO B container and use the mouse wheel to scroll the frequency up and down...

I was able to get the repository url changed and the pihpsdr software updated using your instructions.

I'm using a Presonus Studio 192 mobile audio interface with my G2 Front Panel. Works well as it did with my 7000 MK II DLE.
The application that runs on the pi to interface with Thetis is p2app I'm making a guess that is an acronym for protocol 2 application.

Try editing the /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/autostart file. This worked on my G2 with front panel display.
Comment out either pihpsdr (if you have a G2 Front panel and don’t want pihpsdr to start) or p2app.
You will need to use the sudo command to run as root to edit the file.
